Flour Shop is a bakery. We make everything at our little shop. We want to bake for you well-fermented, easy-to-digest sourdough bread and indulgent pastries made for maximum crunch and flavour. A pastry in the morning doesn't feel quite complete without a good cup of coffee. So yes, we have your caffeine needs covered too.
We opened our doors on 1st Feb. We have 2 small community tables and a few tables outside. So you could either sit with a coffee and croissant in solitude, watching the world go by or, on days when youre feeling chatty, get to know your friendly neighbours.
We do have strong opinions about where our ingredients come from. We believe in using Australian suppliers because its better for the environment to source locally than to get an orange flown in from Spain! Also, because so many Australian producers are so bloody good! We try to use seasonal ingredients because well- that's when they taste the best! Ah.. and we truly dislike waste- food or otherwise. We're doing our darnest best to reduce single use plastic and paper. It's not easy when almost everything comes wrapped in packaging but we try our best to reuse all of it in our production.
